Finally... after weeks don't do anything. I'm doing my first step in affiliate marketing. I was try to become amazon associate and try to sell some item using PPC. I am using adwords for PPC and the result quite amazing. I got $46 commission from amazon and only need to spend $3 for adwords.

Well, I know this is just beginning and maybe I'm just lucky. However this result encourage me to start this Internet Marketing business seriously.

I want to try sell something on the web using the reseller package that I got. I hope this will work, I 'll give a report after that

What is Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate Marketing is a way of promoting online business through affiliate programs and advertising that pay the affiliate (or publisher) a type of commission based on the amount of business their website brings the merchant company.

It’s a form of revenue sharing or commission based advertising. The term “affiliate marketing,” however, is often associated with network marketing or multi-level marketing and therefore many companies prefer to use the term “performance marketing”. Affiliate marketing is the most cost effective sort of marketing there is, and is actually incredibly efficient. For this reason, many companies (especially those that started in the early days of e-commerce) owe a tremendous amount to affiliate marketing (amazon.com is a good example) and it has now become normal for companies to include affiliate marketing in many of their plans.

There are three types of compensation methods that are associated with affiliated marketing. The first type is Cost per Click (CPC) or Cost per Mil (CPM.) About IMB (Intenet Marketing Bootcamp)

Internet Marketing Bootcamp was a workshop that is hold by Fabian Lim and Ivan Wong from Asia Internet Academy.

The bootcamp in Indonesia took two days long. It was held from 9 am to 9 pm for the first day and 9 am to 11 pm on the second day. Well at least those were stated on the ticket but the camp finished late. Some because too many thing to cover and the other reason is many peoples keep asking questions (It's good, they came to study). It was fun and if you want to learn about internet marketing then you will get a lot.

Day 2 IMB (1-2 March 2008)

Ahh.... Internet Marketing Bootcamp finally over. So many we get in such a little time. Today we start at 9 am and finish around 11:30 pm.

Today we got a lot of information... just imagine, we need to learn 4 modules in one day, compare to day 1 we only learned 2 modules. My personal opinion, two days are not enough for this class maybe 3 days more effective....also we need to pay more money i guess :)

Main topic today are PPC (Pay Per Click) and SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Mainly we talk about using those in google.... well what else, if you are talking about online advertising. Fabian teach us about the basic thing but really helpful for our foundation. If you want more then he has advanced course that we can take.

Today very exhausted, but we got many valuable information. If you want to attend Fabian Lim seminar and you are staying in Indonesia then you can ask about his seminar at TDW Resources.
For me personal this is really good bootcamp... the problem only --> Take Action

Day 1 - IMB (1-2 March 2008)

Day 1 finished around 9:30 pm but funnily i"m not feel tired.

Today we learned about 2 of 6 modules at this bootcamp, which are market research and web creating.

Market research was very interesting. Fabian teach us some interesting moves. We learned how to look the market and also to define our "true" competitor. He was teaching us the trick and gave some tools that we can use. This is new and very interesting for me.

The next section, we learned how to create website and upload it to the web server. This is very basic, so for people who already familiar with web creation this section is very very easy. For people who don't have any experience will find this section really helpful.

My summary for the first day are fabian and ivan really try their best to help people understand and follow the bootcamp, the material still easy to learn.

The problem here i guess sometimes they too fast or skip many topic, maybe 'coz we don't have many time and a lot of people keep asking.

Ok.... i'll report the second day later
